Let's start with internships:
We did not receive the Disney Internship…again!
And no, that isn't a sarcastic smile. Haha!
Truthfully, we were actually kind of reluctant to enter this year, and it was not necessarily out of fear of not getting it. There was college, and SCAD to think about, plus, we are making illustrations for a book for Pearson though Penguin Books! It seems that whenever we were busy with something, we ended up applying for the internship. It probably could have been inconvenient for us anyway (well, that is if our art met their criteria in the first place.)
We're not bummed about it all! There's always more studios to apply to, and more time to learn and grow as artists! We can't wait to go to SCAD and meet new talents!
This will give us more time to work on our Fox Book, which is still in the early stages of concept art. We're still deciding on the look and direction we want to go in for this.
Once we receive our feedback on our work, we'll be sure to share it here to compare it from last year's result. Hopefully it might be helpful to someone on to know what to expect!
(Remember though, if you wan to apply for other studios, make sure you look very well into what they desire to see. Sometimes it could all be stylistic preferences or something like that. We'll keep on doing what we love!)
